Job Description



Responsibilities



  • Oversee daily transport operation, including scheduling, routing and dispatch.

  • Analyze fleet performance data to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.

  • Maintain an effective communication system with all stakeholders.

  • Ensure that standard documentation is carried out at all levels of the operations (truck inspection, driver documentation accordingly).

  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to ensure timely and safe delivery of goods.

  • Building and maintaining long term relationship with vendors.

  • Coordinate with depot Managers across all regions to ensure receipt of stocks, materials, products transferred and report and discrepancies.

  • Sourcing and engaging any 3P Logistics carriers.

  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, federal regulations related to transportation and logistics.

  • Continuously assess current transportation processes and workflows, identifying opportunities for enhancement.


Requirements



  • A minimum of B.Sc / HND in Logistics / Transport management, Supply Chain or any related field.

  • A Minimum of 3years’ proven experience in similar role in a FMCG or Pharmaceutical industries.

  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office.

  • Strong experience in freight forwarding in a logistics industry.

  • Ability to effectively plan and organize appointments and meet reporting deadlines.

  • Customer service.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Strategic thinking with hands-on-approach to achieving business objectives.
