Job Overview



  • To be responsible for the company logistics functions. Responsible for supply chain and transport management. Contributes to strategic decision-making and shaping the overall strategy of the company.


Key Responsibilities



  • Work with the project staff to ensure that the logistics needs of company are identified and met to a high standard.

  • Ensure supplies and services are identified, procured and delivered on time to provide value for money, within company and to the right specifications.

  • Define vehicle fleet requirements and ensure vehicle usage plans, insurance, maintenance and servicing are established.

  • Ensure appropriate systems for monitoring the work of drivers and mechanics.

  • Monitor compliance, review logistics activities, work with logistics and project staff to enhance the logistics support to the company.

  • Responsible for setting up, managing and overseeing all logistics systems (procurement, transport and fleet management, storage, communications.

  • Ensure all logistics systems and procedures comply with the company required operating licenses.

  • Lead wider logistics functions and ensure clarity over plans and priorities, providing supervision, guidance and mentoring.


Qualifications:



  • Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management or any relevant field. 

  • Professional certification in logistics or supply chain management.

  • 5-years experience in logistics management. 

  • Substantial technical (sector specific) logistics and procurement experience within the service sector


Skills / Abilities:



  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent leadership and management skills.

  • High level negotiation, analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Good computer skills (MS Office, Google Suite).
