Job Description
Job Summary:
- Reporting to the Finance Head, the Account Executive will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing accounts, supporting budgeting efforts, and ensuring compliance with Nigerian tax laws and financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements, with accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accurate transaction postings and account balances.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, payments, and collections.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to align with company financial goals.
- Conduct monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy between bank statements and company records.
- Prepare and submit tax filings in compliance with Nigerian tax regulations.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and reports.
- Monitor company expenses to ensure budget adherence and compliance with company policies.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in Nigeria.
- ICAN/ACCA certification (or in progress) is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, SAP, Tally) and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills.
- Knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, financial regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
