Job Summary:



We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Litigation/Commercial Lawyer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both litigation and commercial law, with the ability to handle complex legal matters efficiently.



Key Responsibilities:



Litigation Management




  • The ideal candidate must possess at least a second-class upper degree from a recognized university and the Nigerian Law School. 

  • A Master’s degree from a reputable institution will be an added advantage.

  • Ability to handle complex litigation cases, such as trials at the State and Federal High Courts, Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court.

  •  At least 5+ year’s active experience in litigation and alternative dispute resolution.

  • Deep knowledge of procedural requirements in litigation law and practice.

  • Preparation of briefs and pleading of other legal documents.



Commercial Law




  •  A good academic qualification with at least a second-class upper degree from a recognised university and the Nigerian Law School. Relevant post graduate qualifications will be an added advantage.

  • Must have minimum of 5 years post call experience and 5 years active transactional agreement.

  • Must have experience in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and corporate restructuring

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including but not limited to service agreements, shareholders agreements, Joint venture agreement, power purchase agreement, share sale and purchase agreement, loan agreement and other types of commercial agreement. 

  • Excellent drafting skills

  • Excellent command of English language

  • Excellent writing skills

  • Being a Chartered Secretary would be an advantage

  • In depth experience in handling commercial transactions, writing opinions etc

  • Excellent research skills

  • Must be very thorough and diligent

  • Must have the ability to work in a team.

  • Excellent oral communication skills; ability to speak well and confidently
