Job Description
JOB PURPOSE
The job holder will oversee the activities of HRBPs and provide strategic leadership to drive HR initiatives in line with the goals and objectives of the different Business Units in Matrix Energy Group. This job holder also liaises with Strategic Business Unit heads and top management to plan people initiatives and proffer solutions to human capital management challenges.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Oversees the strategic planning and implementation of business objectives at the various SBUs (Strategic Business Units)
- Leads a team of HRBPs, providing coaching, guidance, and development opportunities
- Manages the recruitment process for business unit heads and members of top management
- Sits in interview panels of recruitment process for full time employees in Matrix Energy Group
- Participates in disciplinary committees and other audit inaugurated teams in relation to the people of Matrix Energy group
- Serves as a faculty member for trainings and onboarding programs for new employees in Matrix Energy
- Collaborates with the Learning and Development team on the identified learning gaps and improvement areas for subordinates
- Presents statutory aggregated HRBP reports to the management in line with existing policies in Matrix Energy and industry best practices
- Collaborates with the Talent management team in appraisal processes for subordinates
- Champions culture development and implementation across Matrix Energy Group
- Serves as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on HR-related issues in the Group.
- Performs any other duties that may be assigned by the Head of Human Resources and Group Head of Support Services
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a related field is required.
- Master's degree in Human Resources, or a related field is required.
- Professional certification such as Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) or Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) is required
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Human Resources, with at least 3 years in a Business Partnering managerial role.
- Experience in the Oil and Gas industry or related field is preferred
SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to drive positive business outcomes through HR strategies
- Good understanding of employee/industrial relations and an appreciation of the dynamics of the labour and employment legislations in the specific country of operation
- Experience with HR Information Systems (HRIS).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suites (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook etc.)
- Competence in overseeing and managing projects related to office-wide communications and change programs
- Aptitude for collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders to achieve common goals and objectives
- Excellent administration, negotiation and organizational skills
- Problem solving and conflict solving skills
- Strong leadership and relationship management skills.
- Ability to deal with individuals in a multi-cultural environment, with varying levels of literacy
- Excellent communication, presentation and Business writing skills
- High level of professionalism and integrity.
