Job Purpose:
The Consortium Coordinator will facilitate effective communication and collaboration among consortium partners, ensuring alignment and coordination of activities related to the Education Cannot Wait (ECW) funding program. The Coordinator will play a critical role in organizing meetings, workshops, and joint activities, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes shared learning and mutual support among partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate Communication and Collaboration:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all consortium partners, ensuring open and transparent communication.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and mutual respect among consortium members.
- Develop and implement effective communication strategies to share information and updates among partners.
Organize Meetings and Workshops:
- Schedule, plan, and facilitate regular consortium meetings to review progress, discuss challenges, and share best practices.
- Organize workshops, training sessions, and joint activities to enhance partners’ capacities and promote collective learning.
- Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, and follow-up action items to ensure accountability.
Coordination of Joint Activities:
- Collaborate with partners to plan and execute joint program activities, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
- Coordinate resource allocation and support among partners to optimize program delivery.
- Monitor the implementation of joint activities, ensuring they meet quality standards and are delivered on time.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Compile and maintain records of meetings, decisions, and actions taken by the consortium.
- Prepare periodic reports summarizing consortium activities, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
- Assist in documenting lessons learned and best practices to inform future consortium initiatives.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community organizations.
- Represent the consortium at relevant meetings, conferences, and forums to advocate for the program and share insights.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for partnership and resource mobilization.
Capacity Building:
- Identify training needs within the consortium and coordinate capacity-building initiatives.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and learning opportunities among partners to enhance their effectiveness in program implementation.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Project Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project coordination, preferably in education or humanitarian sectors.
- Demonstrated experience in managing multi-stakeholder partnerships or consortia.
