Job Summary:
- The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organization. This executive role involves strategic financial planning, risk management, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of finance to drive the company's growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy Development
- Formulate and implement financial strategies that align with the company’s goals.
- Provide strategic input on business decisions affecting financial performance.
Financial Management
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Manage cash flow and liquidity to support operational needs.
Risk Management
- Identify potential financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Establish a comprehensive risk management framework to protect the company’s assets.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations regarding financial practices.
- Liaise with auditors and regulatory bodies to maintain compliance.
Team Leadership
- Lead the finance department, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Mentor finance staff and promote professional development within the team.
Stakeholder Communication
- Prepare and present financial reports to the CEO, Board of Directors, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain relationships with investors and manage investor relations.
Investment Management
- Oversee investment strategies and assess performance benchmarks for capital investments.
- Evaluate funding options and manage the company’s capital structure.
Business Analysis and Strategic Input
- Analyze internal and external financial data to identify market trends and inform business strategy.
- Collaborate with other departments on financial assessments of projects and business models.
Operational Strategy Implementation
- Ensure the implementation of operational strategies that align with financial goals.
- Drive process improvements that enhance budgeting, forecasting, and reporting accuracy.
Financial Systems Optimization
- Leverage technology to automate workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance data accuracy across finance operations.
Requirements
- Minimum Bsc in Accounting. Msc or MBA is an added advantage;
- Strong experience in investment analysis, financing and management accounting;
- Ability to work with financial software and setup proper accounting systems;
- Competency in credit structuration and negotiation;
- Strong Audit experience;
- ICAN certified. FMI certification is an added advantage;
Experience:
- Minimum of 15 years of requisite experience, 5 years of which must be in a senior financial management roles.

- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
