Job Summary




  • The Fund Accountant/Investment Analyst (Halal Investment and Advisory) is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, portfolio analysis, and compliance within halal investment mandates.

  • The role ensures adherence to Shariah- compliant principles while delivering strategic insights to optimize portfolio performance and maximize value



Roles and Responsibilities




  • Manage Halal investment portfolio and ensure high yields through ethical investments that are compliant with the Shari'ah principles

  • Structure Ethical and Shari’ah-compliant investments like Mudarabah, Murabahah, and Sukuk for both Financial and Shari’ah advisory transaction for clients.

  • Prepare comprehensive financial statements and reports for Halal Funds, adhering to regulatory standards set by the Securities and Exchange Commission.

  • Collaborate with Shari'ah Advisors and the Investment Committee in line with the investment strategies and Trust Deed.

  • Ensure timely submission of comprehensive performance reports to the Securities and Exchange Commission.

  • Experience working with a range of stakeholders (including investment banks, banks, Development Finance Institutions, Securities & Exchange Commission and development agencies) to support investments in high impact sectors

  • Ensure accurate and prompt distribution of quarterly dividends to unit holders.

  • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, investment memos, and Investor documents.

  • Assess and conduct market research to identify new investment opportunities and trends.

  • Prepare the budget for the Halal Division and ensure proper tracking of the actual amount to



Experience and Skills required.




  • A Bachelor's Degree in a Finance or Accounting, a professional degree is desirable, A relevant Master’s Degree, Professional Qualification

  • Must have 3-5 years working experience in similar roles

  • Excellent quantitative skills; ability to apply analytical rigor to complex and uncertain tasks

  • Computer Soft skills Required

  • Comfort with ambiguity; ability to operate effectively in a changing context

  • Ability to work under pressure, keen attention to details with strong time management skills

  • Able to maintain a high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.

  • Excellent judgment is essential.

  • Excellent presentation skills; ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse audiences

  • Ability to develop innovative solutions to problems

  • Planning and organising skills

  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues in stressful environments
