  • We are seeking a passionate and experienced Chemistry Teacher to join our academic team in Benin City, GRA.

  • The ideal candidate will inspire and educate students, fostering a love for chemistry and ensuring academic excellence in line with the curriculum.



Responsibilities




  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons in line with the curriculum (WAEC, NECO, and IGCSE).

  • Assess students' progress through tests, assignments, and examinations.

  • Maintain accurate records of students' performance and attendance.

  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.

  • Use practical demonstrations and laboratory experiments to reinforce theoretical concepts.

  • Organize and supervise extracurricular activities such as science clubs or competitions.

  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff for interdisciplinary learning.

  • Keep up-to-date with developments in the subject and teaching methodologies.



Educational Requirements




  • Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Science Education with a Chemistry focus.

  • Master’s Degree in Chemistry or a related field is an added advantage.

  • Teaching qualifications such as PGDE or relevant certifications are preferred.



Experience:




  • 1 to 10 years of teaching experience, preferably at the secondary school level.

  • Experience preparing students for WAEC, NECO, and IGCSE examinations is essential.



Other Requirements:




  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to **Benin City, GRA**.

  • Passion for teaching and a strong commitment to student success.

  • Ability to conduct laboratory experiments and maintain laboratory safety standards.

  • Positive attitude, adaptability, and teamwork skills.



Skills Required:




  • Strong knowledge of Chemistry and the ability to simplify complex concepts.

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in using ICT tools to enhance teaching and learning.

  • Ability to motivate and engage students in learning.

  • Organizational and time management skills.
