Job Description

• Oversee the timely dispatch of stock/items from the central warehouse/kitchen in line with defined policies.


• Manage the company's vehicles and coordinate drivers, ensure that the organization always has a full complement of drivers and functional vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Organize and monitor the distribution of goods to ensure items and resources are shipped to their appropriate destinations, and meet cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets.


• Allocating and managing staff resources according to changing needs.


• Monitor drivers’ performance.


• Work with other departments and drivers to ensure timely delivery of items.


• Ensure all logistics operations adhere to administrative policies, procedures, transport laws, government regulations, safety rules, and ISO requirements.


• Ensure company vehicles are used in accordance with established rules and regulations and that vehicle usage data is correctly recorded.


• Ensure strict compliance with company regulations by drivers.


• Oversee all dispatch processing and handover activities ensuring documentation- proof of delivery, stock dispatch notes, goods received notes, etc.


• Scheduling regular vehicle maintenance and maintaining detailed records of vehicle servicing and inspection to ensure operational efficiency.


• Track vehicle fuel usage and consumption rate: ensure that potential problems or fuel misuse are raised to management.


• Maintain up-to-date vehicle and other operational permits/license registration and renewal.


• Develop and present daily management tracking reports.


• Work with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations.


• Perform general ad hoc duties.

Qualifications and Skills Requirements

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree / HND / OND qualification


• 0 - 2 years relevant work experience.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


• Displays a high level of integrity


• Strong sense of urgency and work ethic.


• Resourceful and focuses on the solution rather than the problem.


• Ability to multitask and function under pressure.
