Objectives of this Role:
- Oversee and manage the company's transportation operations to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for transportation activities.
- Monitor and maintain the company's fleet, ensuring vehicles are well-maintained and compliant with safety regulations.
- Coordinate with internal departments to align transportation schedules with production and sales requirements.
- Manage a team of drivers and logistics personnel, providing guidance and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation laws and regulations.
- Analyze transportation data to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
- Sourcing of 3PL trucks to augment the internal careers
Responsibilities:
- Transportation Management: Plan and coordinate transportation routes to ensure efficient delivery schedules.
- Fleet Management: Oversee the maintenance and servicing of company vehicles, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Team Supervision: Lead and manage a team of drivers and logistics staff, providing training and performance evaluations.
- Compliance: Ensure all transportation activities comply with local and international regulations, including safety standards.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the transportation budget, aiming to reduce costs while maintaining service quality.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including delivery logs and vehicle maintenance reports.
- Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any transportation-related issues promptly to minimize disruptions.
- Reporting: Provide regular reports on transportation performance, including key performance indicators (KPI) and cost analyses.
- Sourcing for 3PL trucks at a reduced cost to support the company fleet of trucks

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in transportation management, preferably in a manufacturing or FMCG setting.
- Proven experience in fleet management and route optimization.
- Strong understanding of budgeting and financial management.
- Experience with transportation management software and GPS tracking systems.
- Knowledge of customs regulations and international shipping procedures.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required
