Job Summary
- The Demand Planner is responsible for analyzing sales data, forecasting product demand, and ensuring the seamless supply of goods to meet business needs.
- This role collaborates closely with the sales team, production, and logistics to align demand forecasts with supply capacity.
- The Demand Planner provides insights that drive sales strategies, optimize planning processes, and enhance overall business efficiency.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and interpret sales data to develop accurate demand forecasts.
- Identify sales trends, seasonal variations, and market patterns to improve forecasting accuracy.
- Monitor actual sales performance versus forecast and recommend adjustments where necessary.
- Collaborate with production and logistics teams to align supply schedules with demand forecasts.
- Identify potential supply constraints and escalate issues for resolution.
- Work closely with the sales team to validate demand projections and incorporate real-time market intelligence.
- Facilitate regular meetings with key stakeholders to discuss forecast accuracy and improvement strategies.
- Provide data-driven insights to enhance sales planning and execution.
- Maintain dashboards and reports to visualize demand trends and supply efficiency Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly demand reports for decision-making.
- Track forecast accuracy, measure deviations, and implement corrective actions.
- Improve demand planning processes through data analytics and forecasting tools.
- Leverage technology to enhance demand accuracy and reduce planning inefficiencies.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in demand planning and sales coordination.
Job Requirements
Education:
- B.Sc. Degree in relevant field.
Work Experience:
- Must have a minimum of 4 years relevant experience in FMCG or manufacturing company.
- Knowledge of statistical forecasting models and demand planning software
- Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical and reporting skills.
Technical requirements:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Power Query, Macros).
- Experience with SAP for demand planning and data management.
- Knowledge of Power BI/Tableau for data visualization and trend analysis.
- Familiarity with demand forecasting models and statistical analysis tools.
- Understanding of supply chain and sales planning processes.
