Job Summary




  • We seek a skilled and proactive Facility Manager to join our dynamic team in managing Student Hostels under the management of our Firm. You will play a critical role in maintaining facility compliance and ensuring that all regulatory standards are met.

  • This position requires a hands-on leader who can effectively manage a large team and is responsible for the upkeep of our facilities and equipment across various Hostels.

  • In this role, you will handle urgent maintenance tasks, manage the maintenance budget, and oversee external service providers to ensure that our Hostel facilities remain in optimal condition. Your expertise will be pivotal in

    • Driving efficient Hostel Facility Management processes;

    • Formulating and implementing effective communication protocols so that management and students are duly updated on all key facility management-related matters; and

    • Maintaining a safe, compliant, and productive environment for our students.



  • Regular reporting will be a key component of your effectiveness, including producing comprehensive, written reports in clear formats that are easy for a wide range of stakeholders to digest, in order to ensure alignment with our standards of operational excellence. Key Responsibilities




  • Develop and implement facility management policies and procedures to ensure the efficient operation of our Hostels and assets.

  • Manage facility-related budgets, including approving maintenance expenses and capital expenditure projects, to support the Company’s financial goals.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, in line with the organization’s standards.

  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify repair and/or renovation needs across the Hostels properties.

  • Plan and manage central services, such as reception, cleaning, waste disposal, and parking, to enhance the operational efficiency of our Hostel facilities.

  • Provide facilities management-related input towards ensuring condusive Hostels.

  • Monitor income release by the management for management of the Hostels

  • Request for funds for maintenance, repairs, equipment, and supplies while adhering to the Company’s financial guidelines.

  • Resolve complaints from students and residents of any Hostel promptly to uphold the Company’s reputation for excellent customer service.

  • Prepare accurate financial statements and records to support the Company’s financial reporting and decision-making.

  • Report regularly to management on the status of facilities, operations, and strategic objectives.

  • Handle emergency issues swiftly and effectively to minimize disruptions and maintain the safety and functionality of the facilities.



Requirements




  • Bachelor’s Degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Facilities Manager in a residential area is required.

  • Strong understanding of property and student management

  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills.

  • Exceptional (written and oral) communication skills and interpersonal abilities.

  • In-depth knowledge of relevant legal regulations, health and safety standards, and building codes.

  • A strong network of service providers relevant to the facilities management field.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and facilities management software.

  • Must be mature and be between 35 and 45 years of age

  • Must possess strong leadership trait

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Problem-solving abilities

  • Good adaptability and resilience

  • Must be a tech-savvy person

  • Excellent security and safety consciousness
