Job Summary




  • Our client is seeking an experienced and highly skilled accounting professional to lead their accounting function, ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and provide strategic financial guidance to support business growth.



Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting:




  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

  • Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards and local accounting standards

  • Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts



Financial Planning and Analysis:




  • Provide strategic financial guidance to support business growth and decision-making

  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities

  • Develop and implement financial models to support business planning



Audit and Compliance:




  • Coordinate the annual audit process, including preparation of audit schedules and responses to audit queries

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including tax laws and company laws

  • Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data



Annual Financial Statement and Reporting:




  • Compute and prepare annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements

  • Prepare and submit annual financial reports to management, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies

  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial statements and reports



Bank Relationships:




  • Liaise with all banks to ensure smooth transactional operations

  • Manage bank accounts, including account opening, closing, and maintenance

  • Ensure compliance with bank regulations and requirements



Leadership and Management:




  • Lead and manage a team of accountants, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities

  • Coordinate the recruitment, training, and development of accounting staff

  • Implement and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and standards



Requirements




  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field

  • Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or ICAN) qualification

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in accounting, including 3-5 years in a senior role

  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and local accounting standards

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
