We're seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our Finance Department in Oraifite, Anambra State.
You'll be responsible for managing all financial data, preparing accurate financial reports, and ensuring compliance with IFRS and Nigerian tax regulations.
This is a crucial role that requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and a proactive approach to financial management.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare timely and accurate periodic and year-end financial statements.
Analyze financial data and provide insightful reports.
Develop and manage budgets and financial forecasts.
Monitor budget implementation and perform variance analysis.
Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal financial procedures.
Consolidate accounting entries and accounts for financial reporting.
Prepare internal reports to support management decisions.
Stay updated on accounting regulations and recommend policy improvements.
Establish and maintain a robust tax reporting system.
-Develop strategies to minimize financial risks.
Analyze market trends and provide recommendations.
Perform controllership duties and ensure balance sheet integrity.
Research and resolve technical accounting issues related to HMIS (if applicable).
Perform other assigned tasks.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CIPFA, or other relevant professional qualification.
Minimum of 5 years of broad experience in finance.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
