Job Summary:



We're looking for a strategic and results-driven Senior Sales Business Development Manager to develop and execute a sales and business development strategy to expand our customer base and revenue. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Nigerian fintech industry, excellent sales and business development skills, and a proven track record of driving revenue growth.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and business development strategy to target key industries, including finance, e-commerce, and technology.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, collaborations, and acquisitions.

  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at target companies, including CEOs, CTOs, and Heads of Payment.

  • Negotiate and close deals with new and existing customers, ensuring revenue growth and customer satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with our product development team to develop new products and services that meet the needs of our target markets.

  • Provide market feedback and insights to inform product development and marketing strategies.

  • Manage and report on sales and business development performance, customer relationships, and market trends.

  • Develop and manage sales and business development budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics.

  • Identify and mitigate sales and business development risks, and develop contingency plans to address business challenges.

  • Lead and manage a team of sales and business development professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to ensure their success.



Requirements




  • 8+ years of experience in sales, business development, or a related field, preferably in the fintech or payments industry.

  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and expanding customer bases.

  • Deep understanding of the Nigerian fintech industry, including market trends, competitors, and regulatory requirements.

  • Excellent sales, business development, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.

  • Fluency in English; additional languages spoken in Nigeria an asset.



Nice to Have:




  • Experience working with fintech companies, payment gateways, or API hubs.

  • Knowledge of Nigerian and international payment systems, including card schemes and mobile money.

  • Certification in sales, business development, or a related field.
