Job Summary:
We're looking for a strategic and results-driven Senior Sales Business Development Manager to develop and execute a sales and business development strategy to expand our customer base and revenue. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Nigerian fintech industry, excellent sales and business development skills, and a proven track record of driving revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and business development strategy to target key industries, including finance, e-commerce, and technology.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, collaborations, and acquisitions.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at target companies, including CEOs, CTOs, and Heads of Payment.
- Negotiate and close deals with new and existing customers, ensuring revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with our product development team to develop new products and services that meet the needs of our target markets.
- Provide market feedback and insights to inform product development and marketing strategies.
- Manage and report on sales and business development performance, customer relationships, and market trends.
- Develop and manage sales and business development budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics.
- Identify and mitigate sales and business development risks, and develop contingency plans to address business challenges.
- Lead and manage a team of sales and business development professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to ensure their success.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in sales, business development, or a related field, preferably in the fintech or payments industry.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and expanding customer bases.
- Deep understanding of the Nigerian fintech industry, including market trends, competitors, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent sales, business development, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Fluency in English; additional languages spoken in Nigeria an asset.
Nice to Have:
- Experience working with fintech companies, payment gateways, or API hubs.
- Knowledge of Nigerian and international payment systems, including card schemes and mobile money.
- Certification in sales, business development, or a related field.
