Job Purpose
- The specification specialist will be responsible for driving product awareness and adoption by building strong relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and engage key stakeholders to introduceproducts and services.
- Develop and maintain a database of project specifications and potential leads.
- Provide technical guidance on product applications, compliance, and industry standards.
- Deliver compelling product presentations and technical seminars to target audiences.
- Collaborate with the sales team to convert specified products into actual sales.
- Identify new market trends, project opportunities, and competitors' activities.
- Develop strategies to increase product specifications in ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Prepare and submit accurate technical documentation, including datasheets, product manuals, and specifications.
- Ensure all product specifications comply with regulatory and industry standards.
- Provide market feedback on product performance.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with decision-makers in theindustry.
- Attend industry events, exhibitions, and seminars to network and promote products.
- Follow up on specified projects to ensure product selection and support the sales cycle.
- Contract Acquisition and Project Development:
- Identify and pursue new construction projects.
- Establish relationships with project owners, consultants, and contractors.
- Prepare and present technical proposals.
- Maintain a pipeline of ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Project Execution Support:
- Coordinate with contractors and stakeholders.
- Provide technical support during project planning and execution.
- Monitor project performance and resolve issues.
- Market and Industry Research:
- Conduct market analysis to identify emerging project opportunities.
- Track competitor activities and pricing strategies.
- Provide written reports and actionable insights.
- Customer and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Regularly visit project sites.
- Act as the primary point of contact for technical sales and project-related queries.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong technical understanding ofindustry standards.
- Proven ability to build relationships with industry stakeholders.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
- Experience: 3- 5 years of experiencewith a focus on contracts and project execution.
- Technical Sales Experience: Demonstrated success in technical sales or business development related to construction projects.
