Job Description
Responsibilities
Cost Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze financial data to determine the cost of producing goods or services.
- Prepare and present cost reports to management, including cost of goods sold, inventory valuation, and overhead analysis.
- Develop and maintain cost accounting systems, including job costing, process costing, and standard costing.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts, including developing cost estimates and analyzing variances.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and anomalies, and provide recommendations for cost improvement.
Cost Control and Reduction:
- Identify areas for cost reduction and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Develop and implement cost control measures, including monitoring and reporting on cost variances.
Compliance and Financial Analysis:
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, including GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and anomalies, and provide recommendations for financial improvement.
Process Improvement:
- Continuously improve cost accounting processes and procedures, including identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Develop and maintain documentation of cost accounting processes and procedures.
Other Responsibilities:
- Provide support for external audits and financial statement preparation.
- Collaborate with other departments, including operations, sales, and marketing, to provide cost accounting support.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirement
- 4 - 10 years of experience.
