Overview:



We are hiring a highly qualified and experienced Technical Assistant to the CEO for our client with the Oil and Gas sector.  The successfull candidate will be responsible for providing strategic, technical, and administrative support to the executive leadership. The role demands a seasoned engineer with deep industry expertise to drive decision-making processes and ensure the smooth execution of technical initiatives.



Specific Responsibilities




  • Provide expert technical and analytical support to the CEO in decision-making, operations, and strategic planning.

  • Coordinate and manage the execution of high-impact technical projects aligned with the company’s goals.

  • Conduct technical research, feasibility assessments, and risk analyses for proposed technical initiatives.

  • Prepare and review technical presentations, reports, and briefings for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Facilitate meetings, prepare agendas, document minutes, and track deliverables.

  • Manage communication with industry stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and strategic partners.

  • Support the CEO in business development strategies and key negotiations.



Requirements (Kindly note that these are the minimum qualifications for this role)




  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical or Chemical).

  • Minimum of 6 years as a Technical Assistant, with at least 4 years in the oil and gas sector.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

  • Excellent technical report writing and presentation skills.

  • Must be an Petroleum, Mechanical or Chemical Engineer.

  • Experience and good knowlegde of project management

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Must possess a PMP or equivalent certification.

  • Active membership in a recognized engineering body.

  • Strong understanding of oil and gas industry regulations is required.

  • The role requires travel to operational sites when necessary, hence knowledge of areas such as Portharcourt and Warri is an advantage

  • Commitment to continuous learning and development is highly valued.



Location and Work Mode




  • Location: Lagos HQ, Port Harcourt (Operations), Warri (Operations).

  • Full-time:  Onsite, Monday - Friday.



Annual Gross Compensation: 5,000,000 - 6,000,000 + performance based bonuses
