Job Summary
- The Senior Human Resource Officer is responsible for managing HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, and compliance, specifically within the rice milling industry.
- The role ensures the effective implementation of HR policies and strategies to enhance workforce productivity and organizational success.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Workforce Planning:
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes, ensuring qualified talent acquisition.
- Develop workforce planning strategies tailored to rice milling operations.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs.
Employee Relations & Engagement:
- Foster a positive work environment and address employee concerns.
- Handle conflict resolution, grievances, and disciplinary actions in compliance with labor laws.
- Promote employee engagement and retention strategies.
Performance Management & Training:
- Implement performance appraisal systems and ensure regular evaluations.
- Identify training needs and develop industry-specific training programs.
- Organize workshops and learning initiatives to enhance employee skills.
HR Policy Development & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and industry-specific regulations.
- Develop and enforce HR policies aligned with company objectives.
- Keep up-to-date with legal changes affecting rice milling workforce management.
Payroll & Benefits Administration:
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure accuracy in salary administration.
- Manage employee benefits, including health insurance and leave policies.
- Handle HR budgeting and cost control initiatives.
Health, Safety, and Workplace Conditions:
- Collaborate with HSE officers to ensure a safe working environment.
- Promote safety awareness and compliance in rice mill operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPM, SHRM, HRCI) is an advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years of HR experience, preferably in a rice milling or agribusiness environment.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
