The Business Assurance & Internal Control Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring internal control systems to ensure operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation.
The role is crucial in maintaining transparency, reducing fraud, and improving process integrity within the loan operations.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement internal control frameworks and business assurance policies.
Conduct risk assessments to identify financial, operational, and compliance vulnerabilities.
Perform periodic internal audits to evaluate adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
Analyze loan processes and transactions to detect discrepancies and prevent fraud.
Provide recommendations for process improvements to enhance business performance and minimize risks.
Collaborate with compliance and risk management teams to strengthen control measures.
Develop training programs to ensure employees understand internal control policies and compliance requirements.
Generate reports on audit findings and present them to senior management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
4+ years of experience in internal control, audit, risk management, or business assurance.
Strong knowledge of financial regulations, compliance standards, and risk assessment techniques.
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Certifications such as CIA, CISA, or ACCA will be an added advantage.
