Job Summary
- The Financial Control Manager is responsible for financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and internal controls.
- The role ensures timely and accurate rendition of financial returns to regulatory bodies, maintains the bank’s general ledger, and ensures compliance with statutory requirements.
Requirements
- Submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial returns to the CBN.
- Render AML/CFT returns to the CBN and NFIU.
- Submit the Annual Financial Statements (AFS) to the CBN.
- Maintain and reconcile the bank’s General Ledger (GL).
- Ensure bank reconciliation and trial balance accuracy.
- Compute and ensure compliance with prudential requirements (CRR, Liquidity Ratio, CAR, etc.).
- Organize and facilitate ALCO meetings and submit financial reports to the board.
- Ensure compliance with CBN, NDIC, FRC, LIRS, and FIRS regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- 10 years post-university experience in financial control or banking.
- ACA qualification required.
- Strong knowledge of General Ledger, CBA, and Trial Balance.
- Expertise in bank reconciliation and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with CBN regulatory frameworks.
