Position Summary
- The CFO will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company.This role demands a seasoned financial professional with a deep understanding of the insurance industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving financial performance.
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor degree in Accounting, Master’s degree preferably in Finance
- Professional certifications such as ICAN CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CFA(CharteredFinancial Analyst),orCMA (Certified ManagementAccountant) are highly preferred
Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management role within the insurance industry.
- Proven track record of financial strategy development and execution in an insurance or financial services environment.
- Experience with regulatory compliance, risk management, and financial reporting specific to insurance.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; familiarity with insurance-specific financial systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of IFRS,specifically IFRS17, GAAP, and other relevant financial regulations affecting the insurance sector.
Leadership Interpersonal Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop finance teams effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience working with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
Strategic Vision:
- Ability to align financial strategy with organisational goals and drive business performance.
- Experience in mergers and acquisitions, capital management, and investment strategies within the insurance sector.
