Job Summary
- The Financial Control Manager is responsible for financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and internal controls. The role ensures timely and accurate rendition of financial returns to regulatory bodies, maintains the bank’s general ledger, and ensures compliance with statutory requirements.
Job Competency Requirements
- Submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial returns to the CBN.
- Render AML/CFT returns to the CBN and NFIU.
- Submit the Annual Financial Statements (AFS) to the CBN.
- Maintain and reconcile the bank’s General Ledger (GL).
- Ensure bank reconciliation and trial balance accuracy.
- Compute and ensure compliance with prudential requirements (CRR, Liquidity Ratio, CAR, etc.).
- Organize and facilitate ALCO meetings and submit financial reports to the board.
- Ensure compliance with CBN, NDIC, FRC, LIRS, and FIRS regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
- 10 years post-university experience in financial control or banking.
- ACA qualification required.
- Strong knowledge of General Ledger, CBA, and Trial Balance.
- Expertise in bank reconciliation and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with CBN regulatory frameworks.
