Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end tendering process, from identifying opportunities to bid submission.
- Prepare and review tender documents, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and competitiveness.
- Develop technical and commercial proposals in collaboration with relevant departments.
- Identify potential tender opportunities through market research and industry networks.
- Assess project feasibility, risks, and profitability before bid submission.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends and competitor activities.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and government agencies to clarify tender requirements.
- Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and industry events to strengthen business relationships.
- Address client queries and ensure alignment with their specifications.
- Develop and implement best practices to improve bid quality and success rates.
- Evaluate contractual terms, liabilities, and risks before tender submission.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and company policies in all bid submissions.
- Maintain accurate records of all tender-related documents and approvals
- Analyse unsuccessful bids to identify areas for improvement.
- Any assigned duty by management towards effective and lawful discharge of duties and responsibilities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in tendering, contracts, or bid management, preferably in construction or civil engineering projects.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of tendering procedures, cost estimation, and contract negotiation.
