Overview
- We are seeking an experienced Engine Overhaul Specialist to handle the inspection, disassembly, repair, and reassembly of engines.
- The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in diagnosing engine issues, performing complete overhauls, and ensuring optimal engine performance.
- This role requires hands-on technical skills and familiarity with various engine types, including diesel and marine engines.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform full engine overhauls, including disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, and reassembly.
- Diagnose engine failures and identify worn or damaged components.
- Conduct testing and calibration after reassembly to ensure optimal engine performance.
- Work with different engine types, including diesel, gas, marine, and heavy-duty industrial engines.
- Follow manufacturer guidelines and industry standards for engine repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of overhauls, repairs, and parts replacements.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and workplace standards.
- Collaborate with engineers, mechanics, and other technical staff to optimize repair processes.
Requirements
- Diploma / Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in engine overhauling and repairs.
- Strong knowledge of engine components, fuel systems, cooling systems, and lubrication systems.
- Hands-on experience with diagnostic tools and precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Physical ability to lift heavy engine components and work in industrial environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with marine, industrial, or heavy-duty diesel engines.
- Knowledge of major engine brands such as Caterpillar, Cummins, MAN, MTU, or Wartsila.
- Certification in engine repair and maintenance from a recognized institution.
