Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Public Relations Officer to join our team in Benin City, Nigeria. As the face of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our public image, managing media relations, and implementing effective communication strategies.

• Develop and execute comprehensive PR strategies aligned with organizational goals


• Serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and maintain strong relationships with and key stakeholders


• Create marketing strategies for the school 


• Manage and grow the company's social media presence across various platforms


• Plan and coordinate press conferences, media events, excursions and other PR activities


• Monitor and analyze media coverage, industry trends, and public opinion


• Provide strategic counsel to leadership on communication matters and potential PR issues


• Develop and implement crisis communication plans to effectively manage reputational risks


• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging across all channels and marketing 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or related field


• 3-5 years of experience in public relations or a similar role


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives


• Strong media relations skills and a proven track record of successful media placements


• Proficiency in social media management and content creation


• Experience in developing and implementing PR strategies and campaigns


• Demonstrated ability in crisis management and reputation protection


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


• Event planning and coordination experience


• Exceptional presentation and public speaking skills


• Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in public relations
