We are recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of a Superintendent Pharmacist. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements, and delivering high standards of pharmaceutical care.
This role requires a licensed professional who is diligent, responsible, and passionate about community health and wellness.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all pharmacy operations, including dispensing, inventory, staff supervision, and customer service.
Ensure full compliance with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN) and other relevant health regulatory bodies.
Maintain proper documentation, drug registers, and regulatory records.
Supervise and support pharmacy technicians, interns, and other staff.
Review and approve prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and drug interactions.
Provide professional advice to customers on the use of medicines and general health.
Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of pharmaceuticals.
Monitor and manage stock levels, including reordering and tracking expiries.
Handle regulatory inspections and maintain good relationships with regulatory agencies.
Promote health awareness and ensure best practices in patient care and safety.
Requirements
Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) Degree from a recognized institution.
Must be a fully registered and licensed Pharmacist with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).
Minimum of 3 years post-NYSC experience (more experience is an advantage).
Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws and ethical guidelines.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
Ability to work independently and make sound professional judgments.
