- We are looking to engage a highly competent, smart and result-oriented matured Female Hostel Manager to join our dynamic Hostel Management Team.
Role
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations and administration of the Halls .
- Collaborate with other hostel management staff to ensure that hostel operations runs smoothly.
- Ensure that students follow the rules and regulations governing hostel accommodation.
- Ensures accuracy of occupancy records by maintaining hostel counts; processing room assignments and changes for the hostel; processing withdrawals from the hostel; and completing all required paperwork accurately and promptly.
- Make sure that all aspects of housekeeping are of the highest standard by ensuring that all areas of the hostel are cleaned and maintained to a very high standard, which our Firm is known for.
- Take all reasonable steps to ensure the health, safety, and security of the resident students, employees, and visitors always.
- Create and implement methods to guarantee that resident students have a great experience that exceeds satisfaction expectations.
- Maintain complete knowledge of the hostel's inner workings, including room operations, hostel policies, availability, and profitability strategies.
- Coordinate the filling and submission of the student’s well-being report every week.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a Hospitality or Business-related discipline.
- Possesses a minimum of 4 years of Hostel, hotel management, or pastoral care experience within hospitality, tourism, service industry, or educational institution at supervisory level.
- Strong knowledge of the hostel operations and have had professional growth in all areas.
- Experience in high-level customer service delivery and its continuous improvement.
- Experience in providing strong leadership and the ability to motivate teams.
- Proven ability in, or able to demonstrate, management of teams, preferably within a similar environment.
- Experience in the hospitality, tourism, or service industry at the supervisory level.
- Have a high degree of understanding of health and safety at work and practical experience in implementation, monitoring, and developing best practices.
- Strong communicator (written and verbal) with the ability to operate at all levels within the organization.
- Ability to lead projects and achieve results.
- She must be at least 40 years and above.
