Role Overview:




  • We are seeking a seasoned Logistics Executive to oversee our import and export operations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience managing import/export processes in Nigeria, with a comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements and logistics coordination.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Import/Export Management: Oversee end-to-end import and export operations, ensuring compliance with Nigerian and international trade regulations.

  • Form M Processing: Initiate and manage the opening of Form M for all import transactions, liaising with banks and regulatory bodies as necessary.

  • Shipment Coordination: Track and manage shipments, coordinating with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers to ensure timely delivery.

  • Documentation: Prepare and review all necessary documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.

  • Payment Processing: Handle payment processes such as Letters of Credit, ensuring accurate and timely transactions in coordination with the finance department.

  • Customs and Clearing: Manage customs clearance procedures, ensuring compliance with Nigerian Customs Service requirements and resolving any issues that may arise.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on changes in trade regulations, tariffs, and customs procedures, ensuring the company’s operations remain compliant.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with internal departments, suppliers, customers, and regulatory agencies to facilitate smooth operations.



Qualifications:




  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience managing import/export operations in Nigeria.

  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of Nigerian import/export regulations, including Form M procedures, customs clearance, and payment mechanisms like Letters of Credit.

  • Skills: Proficient in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite; excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to multitask and work under pressure.



Preferred Qualifications:




  • Professional certifications in logistics or international trade (e.g., Certified International Trade Professional).

  • Experience with ERP systems related to supply chain management.
