Job Brief
- We are urgently recruiting for the role of An Account Operator.

Responsibilities
- Maintain detailed records of all financial transactions, including payments, expenses, and invoices.
- Prepare and issue invoices to clients, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Receive and process payments, both incoming and outgoing, and reconcile bank statements
- Verify the accuracy of accounts payable and receivable, reconciling with the general ledger.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
- Assist with tax preparation and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Enter financial data into accounting software, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records, including invoices, receipts, and other supporting documentation.
- Communicate with clients and suppliers regarding payment terms and outstanding balances.
Additional Responsibilities (Depending on the specific role):
- Supervisory duties: In some cases, Account Operators may supervise other staff members who perform bookkeeping duties.
- Assist with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Analyze cost records and provide insights to improve financial performance.
- Maintain and monitor internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records. Assist with internal and external audits.
Skills and Qualifications
- Must possess BSc / HND in Accounting, Business Admin or any relevant field.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years working experience as an account operator.
- Must possess a strong ability to manage large volumes of financial data and maintain accurate records.
- Attention to detail
- Ability to analyze financial data and identify trends and variances.
- Strong Ability to communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must have a robust Understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures.
- Must have Prior experience in a relevant field is often preferred.
