Job Description
PURPOSE
To provide technical direction and/or project management for the installation and maintenance of power plant equipment.
THE JOB
- Demonstrate equipment operations, work, and safety procedures to new and experienced employees for training purposes.
- Plans and establishes work schedules, assignments, and maintenance sequences to meet departmental goals.
- Inspect records and logbook entries and communicate with other plant personnel.
- Confers with supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within and between departments.
- Reviews power plant operations and maintenance reports.
- Learns staff functions, line and management viewpoints, policies, practices, and operations that are significant for the proper functioning of the department.
- Acquires knowledge of all standards, procedures, and methods necessary for departmental duties and performance.
THE PERSON MUST
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Good leadership skills and the ability to make sound decisions.
QUALIFICATION
- B.Sc./HND Mechanical Engineering.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD will be an added advantage.
EXPERIENCE
- At least 3 years' experience in a manufacturing/ related industry.
