Material Planning and Scheduling – Develop and manage material requirement plans to ensure timely availability of materials in line with project schedules.
Procurement Coordination – Liaise with procurement teams and vendors to track material orders, delivery timelines, and ensure compliance with specifications.
Inventory Management – Maintain optimal stock levels, monitor inventory usage, and ensure accurate records in inventory systems.
Logistics and Transportation – Coordinate logistics for the movement of materials to and from project sites, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with regulations.
Material Receiving and Inspection – Supervise material receiving processes, including inspection for quantity and quality, and ensure proper storage.
Interface Management – Serve as the focal point between project teams, warehouse, procurement, and logistics to resolve material-related issues.
Reporting and Documentation – Maintain records of material transactions, shortages, and surpluses, and generate regular material status reports.
Compliance and Safety – Ensure all material handling activities follow safety standards and company procedures.
Requirements
A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in related discipline or its equivalent.
12 years post-graduation experience out of which at least 12 years should have been in materials management works –including supervision & planning of construction activities in the Oil and Gas industry.
