The Field Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of personnel, materials, equipment, and infrastructure within and around the factory premises.
The role involves active patrolling, monitoring security devices, controlling access points, and ensuring strict compliance with company security policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and control entry/exit of personnel, vehicles, and materials.
Verify identity of staff, visitors, and contractors, and log all access activities.
Conduct regular inspections and tests to verify boiler safety and efficiency.
Conduct routine patrols of factory perimeter, key installations, and vulnerable areas.
Identify, report, and respond to suspicious activities or security breaches.
Prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access to restricted areas.
Maintain presence at strategic locations during loading/unloading of materials.
Act promptly during emergencies (fire, medical, security breaches, etc.)
Escalate incidents to the appropriate authorities as per SOPs.
Enforce compliance with security protocols, safety guidelines, and dress codes for all personnel and visitors.
Ensure all guards are well-kitted and follow the approved post duties.
Maintain accurate incident logs, gate registers, and shift handover reports.
Submit timely reports on security observations, violations, and activities.
Coordinate with other security personnel, local vigilantes, and military support when necessary.
Attend security briefings and share intelligence within the team.
Participate in routine drills, training, and capacity-building workshops.
Stay updated on best practices in industrial and facility security.
Requirements
Minimum of Secondary School Certificate (SSCE).
Prior training or experience in industrial/facility security is required.
Basic knowledge of security procedures and emergency response.
Ability to patrol, observe, and report incidents accurately
Physically fit and able to stand or walk for long hours.
Must possess at least 159 cm height and 40inch chest length.
Strong sense of responsibility, vigilance, and alertness.
Ability to follow chain-of-command and respond to instructions.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with basic security tools such as batons, flashlights, and radios.
Availability to work weekends and public holidays as required.
