We are recruiting on behalf of a prominent player in the oil and gas industry for an experienced Chemical Engineer.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, optimization, and oversight of chemical processes related to the extraction, refining, and processing of crude oil and natural gas.
This role requires deep technical expertise, strong analytical capabilities, and a proactive approach to improving operational efficiency, safety, and environmental compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Design and optimize chemical processes and equipment layout to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
Conduct simulations and data analysis to support process improvements.
Develop and implement health, safety, and waste management protocols.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define project scope, process control philosophy, and technical deliverables.
Create and review engineering documentation including PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, equipment specs, and HAZOP reports.
Support facility operations, budgeting, cost estimates, and design evaluations.
Integrate lessons learned, industry best practices, and regulatory standards into project execution.
Requirements and Skills
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimium of 3–5 years of industry-specific engineering experience.
Professional certifications or further training in process engineering are desirable.
Proven experience in process engineering within oil and gas or related sectors.
Strong analytical, project management, and leadership capabilities.
Proficiency in simulation software and engineering tools.
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and across geographies.
Familiarity with international engineering codes and standards (API, ASME, NFPA, BS/EN, etc.).
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for site visits and project coordination.
