Job Summary

• We are recruiting on behalf of a prominent player in the oil and gas industry for an experienced Chemical Engineer. 


• The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, optimization, and oversight of chemical processes related to the extraction, refining, and processing of crude oil and natural gas. 


• This role requires deep technical expertise, strong analytical capabilities, and a proactive approach to improving operational efficiency, safety, and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and optimize chemical processes and equipment layout to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.


• Conduct simulations and data analysis to support process improvements.


• Develop and implement health, safety, and waste management protocols.


• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define project scope, process control philosophy, and technical deliverables.


• Create and review engineering documentation including PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, equipment specs, and HAZOP reports.


• Support facility operations, budgeting, cost estimates, and design evaluations.


• Integrate lessons learned, industry best practices, and regulatory standards into project execution.

Requirements and Skills

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related discipline.


• Minimium of 3–5 years of industry-specific engineering experience.


• Professional certifications or further training in process engineering are desirable.


• Proven experience in process engineering within oil and gas or related sectors.


• Strong analytical, project management, and leadership capabilities.


• Proficiency in simulation software and engineering tools.


• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and across geographies.


• Familiarity with international engineering codes and standards (API, ASME, NFPA, BS/EN, etc.).


• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for site visits and project coordination.
