Job Description
- The Engineering Draftsman is a skilled professional responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans based on the specifications provided by engineers, architects, and other professionals.
- These drawings are blueprints for construction, manufacturing, and various engineering projects.
- The role requires a strong understanding of technical drawing principles, knowledge of industry-specific software, and the ability to translate complex information into clear and accurate representations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed drawings of architectural and engineering designs from sketches and specifications. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to incorporate design requirements into drawings.
- Review and revise drawings to meet project specifications and standards.
- Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create and modify drawings.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of building codes, industry standards, and materials.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting during the construction or manufacturing process. Manage documentation and filing systems for drawings and project records.
Conduct site visits to gather data and verify design specifications are being met. Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders. Reporting Line
- The Engineering Draftsman will report to the Spare Parts & Planning Manager
Qualification
- BSc. Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
- Certification in drafting, engineering technology, or any other related field.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks. Experience with building information modeling (BIM) software.
- Strong understanding of architectural and engineering principles.
- 1 or 2 years of working experience.

- Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
