Job Summary:

Provide leadership in financial planning, analysis, and reporting. Manage accounting operations, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and deliver insights to support business decisions. Oversee financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, budgeting, and compliance, ensuring efficient financial operations and effective decision-making. Proficient in the use of QuickBooks

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger management.


• Develop and manage comprehensive financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.


• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and internal controls.


• Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes.


• Collaborate with auditors for internal and external audits.


• Implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance accuracy and operational efficiency.


• Provide leadership and mentorship to the accounting team, including training and development.


• Conduct financial analysis to provide actionable insights to management.


• Manage relationships with financial institutions, vendors, and regulatory bodies.


• Oversee the preparation and monitoring of financial statements, cash flow projections, and balance sheets.


• Maintain proficiency in financial software, specifically QuickBooks, and ensure the team is aligned with best practices in its use.


• Drive the budgeting process, ensuring alignment with company goals and financial objectives.


• Monitor and maintain appropriate financial controls and ensure the organization complies with legal and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.


• ICAN/ACCA Certification required.


• Minimum 8 years of experience in financial management and accounting, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.


• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.


• Proficiency in financial software (e.g. QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.


• Excellent understanding of financial regulations and compliance standards.


• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
