Job Summary




  • Responsible for overseeing the financial health and regulatory compliance of the organization. 

  • This role involves financial reporting, budgeting, cost control, risk management, and internal controls to ensure accurate financial decision-making and long-term business sustainability.



Key Duties and Responsibilities




  • Implement and enforce strong internal controls to prevent fraud and financial risks

  • Manage financial audits and liaise with external auditors

  • Maintain accurate financial records and statutory filings

  • Develop and oversee the company’s budget and financial forecasts

  • Monitor budget variances and cost control measures

  • Provide financial insights and recommendations for business growth

  • Prepare and submit periodic reports to the CFO on the activities of the department.

  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and regulatory financial standards

  • Oversee financial governance policies and ensure compliance with corporate policies.



Education and Work Experience




  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or any other related discipline.

  • Relevant professional qualifications such as ACA, CIMA, CPA, ACCA.

  • Minimum of twelve (12) years relevant experience with at least three (3) years in a senior managerial position.



Skills and Competencies:




  • Good understanding of trends, challenges, opportunities, regulations, and legislations relating to the salt and seasoning manufacturing industry

  • Proven experience in strategic financial planning and analysis.

  • Advanced financial and accounting knowledge, including understanding of finance best practices and IFRS/ international accounting and financial reporting standards

  • Very sound business acumen – financial and commercial knowledge.

  • Strong leadership and people management skills.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • High ethical standards and integrity

  • Working knowledge of SAP
