Job Summary:

Our client, a leading provider of freight forwarding, procurement, and maintenance services in the oil and gas sector, is seeking a strategic and results-driven professional to fill the role of Head, Operations & Strategy. This role is ideal for experienced individuals with a strong background in international logistics, system automation, and organizational leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the operations and strategic planning of the organization across multiple locations.


• Drive process automation and leverage tools such as Power BI for reporting and decision-making.


• Oversee logistics, procurement, and customs compliance processes.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals.


• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, manufacturers, and regulatory bodies.


• Monitor industry trends and implement strategies to maintain competitive advantage.


• Support the company’s expansion into new markets including Abuja and Lagos.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degrees or certifications are an added advantage.


• 5–10 years of experience in a similar leadership role.


• Strong background in freight forwarding, international logistics, and customs processes.


• Knowledge of the oil and gas procurement space is essential.


• Proficiency in Power BI and other automation tools.


• Excellent communication, decision-making, and strategic planning skills.


• Proven track record of driving organizational growth and operational excellence.
