Job Description




  • The product developer will be part of the entire development process, which includes transforming the initial design into a viable commercial product, and assisting with both material selection and sourcing. 

  • The primary responsibility of the product developer is to create products from sketch to final graded patterns for the production team to produce samples and begin mass production of the design. 

  • The Product Developer will report directly to the Product Development Lead.



Roles and Responsibilities




  • Collaborate with the Product Development Lead to execute collections and concepts.

  • Convert sketches into production-ready samples (prototypes).

  • Source materials and haberdashery from vendors and suppliers to meet product requirements.

  • Ensure prototypes meet the highest standards of production techniques and quality.

  • Train the production team on the execution of new designs.

  • Suggest changes to current product lines to improve production processes.



Requirements




  • Bachelor’s Degree in Product Design, Fashion Merchandising or related field.

  • 1 - 3 years previous experience in product development or a similar role, preferably within a fashion industry.

  • Experience in Pattern Making, Grading and Sewing. 

  • Techpack creation and Adobe illustration proficeincy is a great addition

  • Proficiency in Google Workspace(Sheets)

  • Technology proficient proffessional
