Job Summary
- We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Human Resource /Administrative Manager to lead and manage all human resources and administrative functions of our engineering firm.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding to retention and exit while also ensuring smooth operations of office administration.
- This role is critical in building a high-performance workforce and maintaining a compliant, efficient, and engaging workplace.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Management:
Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Plan and execute talent acquisition strategies for technical and non-technical roles.
- Manage the full recruitment process including job postings, interviews, offers, and onboarding.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Design and implement competitive compensation structures.
- Administer employee benefits, payroll inputs, leave management, and statutory remittances.
Employee Relations:
- Act as the main point of contact for staff on HR-related matters.
- Mediate conflicts and ensure a harmonious work environment.
Performance Management:
- Drive the performance appraisal cycle and support department heads in staff evaluation.
- Identify training needs and coordinate learning & development initiatives.
Policy Development & Compliance:
- Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures in line with labor laws and best practices.
- Ensure company-wide policy compliance and educate staff on key policy issues.
Employee Lifecycle Management:
Maintain accurate employee records and manage all documentation across the employment lifecycle hiring, confirmation, promotion, discipline, resignation/exit, etc.
Administrative Oversight:
- Supervise day-to-day administrative operations including facility management, office supplies, vendor management, and logistics.
- Manage company assets, staff welfare programs, and operational budget controls.
- Coordinate support services such as IT, security, and cleaning services as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 – 4years’ Human Resource and administrative experience, preferably in a technical, engineering, or construction environment.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor laws, Human Resource best practices, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven experience with compensation planning, employee engagement, recruitment strategy, and policy development.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in Human Resource software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
