Job Summary




  • Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Managing Director - MD to lead and drive business growth, enhance profitability, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • The MD will be responsible for strategic leadership, revenue growth, financial management, and operational efficiency while fostering strong relationships with regulators, investors, and key stakeholders.



Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Business Growth:




  • Develop and execute business strategies to increase income and market share.

  • Lead expansion initiatives, including new products, digital banking solutions, and Fin-tech integration.

  • Identify strategic partnerships and investment opportunities.

  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and risk management.



Revenue Growth & Profitability:




  • Drive customer acquisition, lending, and deposit mobilization strategies.

  • Optimize loan portfolio management and risk assessment to ensure profitability.

  • Expand revenue streams through innovative financial products.



Regulatory & Compliance Oversight:




  • Ensure full compliance with CBN, NIBSS, NDICand all other regulatory requirements.

  • Implement risk management frameworks and internal control measures.

  • Maintain strong relationships with regulators and industry stakeholders.



Operational Excellence & Technology Advancement:




  • Improve efficiency in banking operations and service delivery.

  • Drive digital transformation by integrating FinTech solutions.

  • Lead the adoption of innovative banking technologies to enhance customer experience.



Key Qualifications & Experience




  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, or related field. MBA or relevant Master’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the banking/financial sector, with at least 5 years in executive leadership.

  • Strong knowledge of micro-finance banking and regulatory compliance.

  • Proven track record of increasing revenue and improving financial performance.

  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.

  • Strong relationships within the banking industry, regulatory bodies, and investment sector.

  • MCIB certification is non-negotiable.
