Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day management and administration of the Staff hostel.
- Ensure the safety and security of all students in the Layover.
- Maintain order, discipline, and good conduct among staff.
- Monitor students’ behavior, health, hygiene, and general well-being.
- Conduct regular roll calls and ensure attendance compliance.
- Address and report incidents of illness, misconduct, or any emergency situation.
- Coordinate and supervise hostel routines such as wake-up, meals, lights out, etc.
- Ensure hostel facilities are clean, organized, and well-maintained.
- Foster a positive and supportive relationship with staff.
- Liaise with Line Managers, management, and CCTV Officers when necessary.
- Keep proper records of staff attendance, health issues, and incidents.
- Enforce hostel rules and disciplinary measures when required.
- Organize extracurricular activities and support staff personal development.
- Be available for 24-hour on-call duties during term time.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Minimum of a National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Experience working with Adult Children, preferably in a boarding school or similar setting.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Firm but compassionate personality.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with integrity.
Working Conditions:
- Typically a live-in position with accommodation provided within the premises.
- Involves evening, weekend, and holiday work during school terms.
