JOB SUMMARY:
The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, comfortable, and tidy environment for the offices and other facilities within the organization. This role ensures that all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards, contributing to a healthy and pleasant workspace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing.
- Sanitize and clean washrooms, restrooms, and kitchen areas.
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in designated areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas such as lobbies, hallways, and conference rooms.
- Handle laundry services, including washing, drying, ironing, and folding as needed.
- Ensure all linens, towels, and cleaning supplies are adequately stocked and organized.
- Monitor cleaning supplies inventory and notify the Operations Manager when supplies are low.
- Ensure proper storage and use of cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the Facilities Manager.
- Provide excellent customer service to staff and visitors by maintaining a welcoming environment.
- Respond promptly to any housekeeping requests or issues.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a housekeeper or in a similar role.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain a high standard of performance.
- Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques, and methods.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina and mobility to perform manual labour.
