Position Overview:
- The Vice President (VP) of Technology is a senior role responsible for shaping and driving the consulting company’s technology strategy, innovation initiatives, and technical operations.
- This individual will work closely with the our wider team to align technology priorities with business objectives, enhance client delivery, and ensure the company remains a leader in providing cutting-edge consulting solutions.
- The VP of Technology will oversee technical teams, manage IT infrastructure, and spearhead the adoption of emerging technologies to enable business growth and exceptional client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement a forward-looking technology strategy that aligns with the company's mission and growth goals.
- Serve as a trusted advisor providing insights on technological trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and determine their relevance and potential to drive innovation and client value.
Client-Focused Innovation
- Collaborate with consulting teams to design and deliver high-impact technology solutions for clients.
- Support business development efforts by contributing to proposals, technical solution designs, and client presentations.
- Partner with clients to understand their technology challenges and create customized strategies to address them.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee the company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring secure, efficient, and scalable systems and processes.
- Implement best practices for software development, data management, and technology operations.
- Monitor performance metrics to ensure optimal delivery of technology services.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing technology team, including software engineers, IT professionals, and technical consultants.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Governance and Compliance
- Ensure the organization adheres to all regulatory and cybersecurity requirements.
- Manage technology budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with strategic priorities.
- Create policies to mitigate risks and ensure the reliability of technology systems.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in technology leadership roles, preferably in a consulting or professional services environment.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale technology initiatives and managing diverse technical teams.
- Experience in delivering technology consulting services and solutions to clients.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong understanding of emerging technologies (e.g., AI/ML, cloud computing (AWS), cybersecurity, big data).
