Purpose of the Role




  • Responsible for analysing and interpreting data and providing logistics information to aid cost effective, efficient, timely and high quality logistics solutions. 

  • To ensure a consistent and efficient supply of raw materials to meet the production plan, whilst optimisation inventory levels and maintaining a safe work environment.



Role and Responsibilities




  • Analyse and interpret logistics data using statistical analysis tools.

  • Track the flow of goods through various distribution channels to ensure timely delivery.

  • Work with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to coordinate and schedule shipments.

  • Utilize tracking resources available to monitor the status of shipments.

  • Regularly update management and other stakeholders on the status of shipments, potential delays, and resolutions.

  • Ensure that all shipments comply with relevant laws and regulations, maintaining appropriate documentation.

  • Analyse data related to shipping times, costs, and efficiencies to identify areas for improvement.

  • Promptly respond to any distribution or shipping issues, coordinating with relevant parties to resolve them.

  • Oversee the condition and quality of goods in transit, ensuring they meet all quality standards.

  • Provide tracking information to Telesales/Sales teams and help address customer inquiries related to shipments.

  • Create and present regular reports to management detailing logistics performance, key metrics, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all Supply Chain processes. 

  • Train users on the compliance of standard operating procedures.



Competency Requirements




  • Diploma or Degree in a relevant area of study such as Materials Management, Accounting or Stores Management.

  • Should have experience in the management of a store.
