Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Provide legal advice and support to various departments on business-related matters.
- Ensure the organization complies with statutory obligations and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with external solicitors and follow up on ongoing litigation and court matters.
- Maintain proper records of legal documents and case files.
- Assist in company secretarial functions including filing with CAC and attending board meetings.
- Stay updated on relevant legislation, case law, and industry trends.
- Support in risk management and policy development.
Requirements & Qualifications
- LL.B degree from a recognized university; B.L from the Nigerian Law School.
- 1–3 years post-call experience in legal practice or corporate legal department.
- Solid understanding of corporate law, contract law, property law, and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
Preferred Experience (Not Mandatory)
- Previous in-house counsel experience.
- Experience in real estate, finance, or commercial law.
- Familiarity with CAC filings and documentation.
