About the Role
- We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Archivist to manage, preserve, and provide access to our growing collection of physical and digital records.
- The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the long-term preservation of valuable documents and facilitating access to critical information in compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Acquire, organize, catalog, and maintain physical and digital archives.
- Develop and implement archival policies, procedures, and classification systems.
- Evaluate records for historical, legal, or administrative value and determine retention periods.
- Ensure secure and efficient storage, retrieval, and disposal of records.
- Assist internal departments and external researchers in locating and using archived materials.
- Maintain and update digital databases and content management systems.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and information governance standards.
- Promote awareness and use of archival resources through training, guides, or presentations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Archival Studies, Library Science, History, Information Management, or a related field.
- Must have completed his/her NYSC
- Must not be older than 28 years old
- 2+ years of experience in archiving, records management, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of archival principles, records lifecycle, and classification systems.
- Familiarity with electronic records management systems (ERMS) and metadata standards.
- Excellent organizational, research, and communication skills.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
