Job Summary




  • The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services required by the organization. 

  • The role ensures cost-effectiveness, timely delivery, and compliance with company policies and procurement regulations.



Key Responsibilities




  • Source reliable suppliers and vendors for quality goods and services at competitive prices.

  • Prepare purchase orders and review requisitions for goods and services.

  • Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, and pricing.

  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and timelines with vendors.

  • Monitor and forecast procurement needs to avoid stock-outs or overstocking.

  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain accurate procurement records and reports for auditing purposes.

  • Collaborate with internal departments to understand procurement requirements.

  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.

  • Handle invoice reconciliation and coordinate with the finance department for timely payments.



Requirements




  • Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

  • 2 - 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain.

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and procurement software.

  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

  • Knowledge of procurement laws and vendor management best practices.
