Job Summary




  • The Tender and Contract Lead plays a critical role in leading the preparation and submission of technical and commercial tenders and managing contractual agreements. 

  • This position ensures that tenders align with client requirements and that contracts are executed and managed to mitigate risk and maximize profitability, in compliance with industry regulations and standards.



Key Responsibilities




  • Manage the end-to-end tendering processes, including preparation, commercials, submission and post -tender clarification.

  • Coordinate with engineering, finance, corporate services, HSE, and operations teams to develop compelling and compliant tender responses.

  • Analyze tender requirements and ensure accurate, timely and compliant submission.

  • Analyze client specifications and tender documents to develop pricing strategies and competitive bids.

  • Develop, review, and negotiate contracts with vendors, clients, partners, and subcontractors.

  • Ensure compliance with local and international oil & gas contracting standards, including Local Content requirements.

  • Maintain a robust tracking system for tenders, contracts, performance bonds, renewals, and key deliverables.

  • Advise management on contract risks, mitigation strategies, and bid/no-bid decisions.

  • Foster and maintain relationships with IOCs, NOCs, JV partners, and regulatory bodies.

  • Monitor contract execution and performance, ensuring adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and commercial terms.

  • Provide input for contract claims, variation orders, and dispute resolution as required.

  • Lead bid/no-bid analysis and provide recommendations based on commercial viability



Requirements




  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.

  • 5+ years of proven experience in tendering and contract management within the oil & gas industry.

  • Strong knowledge of industry-specific contracts and bespoke oilfield service agreements.

  • Familiarity with Nigerian Content Development Monitoring Board (NCDMB) requirements or equivalent.

  • Working knowledge of industry regulations such as HSE, ISO standards, and local procurement laws.

  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, organizational and project management skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP software

  • Strong attention to detail, anal, analytical thinking and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

  • Must be a resident of Port Harcourt city.
